Details about the Cert III Horse Breeding Traineeship at Breakaway Stud in 2010.
*We are a very busy performance horse breeding and
training enterprise and farrier service, with interests in campdrafting
and cutting.
*We are currently seeking a young person to join our staff and complete a nationally recognised traineeship in horse breeding through CY O'Connor Tafe.
*The successful applicant will have intensive hands on training
in all aspects of stud management, from horse handling to artificial
breeding/live cover,
foaling, property management, advertising and record keeping.
*This is a very rewarding position,with all previous
trainees currently still employed by Western Australia's
largest horse studs.
*This traineeship will suit a person who is physically fit,
enthusiastic about horses and expresses a desire to become proficient
in all horse breeding and management techniques.
*There will be opportunities ride and assist with the training of
successful campdraft horses and travel to horse events regularly
and eventually compete if desired.
*Non smoker preferred, some horse experience preferred, applicant must
have drivers license, no accomodation is provided, offering award wage
plus agistment and
farrier care for one horse (depending on suitability).Females, persons with incomplete education, and persons of indigenous descent are encouraged to apply.
