STUD NEWS

Very Excited - Most of our foals have arrived and they are as we expected, FANTASTIC!!!
We are very excited about these babies.
With Duck N Lethal over theSpin on Command mares, they are Built to Perform, Bred to Excel!

Stud Season - Its been an even bigger year for us with even better results. Almost 200 mares bred using just over 110 stallions via on farm, van serve, chilled and frozen. We cant wait to see pictures of the babies as they arrive.

Congratulations - To all the campdraft comittees in WA for putting on such great drafts, we look forward to drafting again in 2012.

Its official - We have finally convinced Harold Pitcher to let us create a temporary Webpage for Pitchers Saddlery.View here.

Yes its true! We have had our offer accepted on a 100 acre grazing block, not far from where we are now.Our business and stud has grown enormously over the last few years but we hope to offer more services to our owners and will continue to find ways to operate as cost effectively as possible.

OUT AND ABOUT

- Drafting - We have had an enormous amount of fun drafting this year as our son has started competing. He has been lucky enough to ride some very good horses (thankyou Sam O and Todd M) and is now giving tips to his DAD!.
- Well Done to Sam O with a well deserved win in the maiden at Dardanup. No more bridesmaid jokes now!!!!
- Next up Capel draft on Australia Day Weekend. Going Bogan....
- Cutting - After much harrassment, Ross may start heading to a few cuttings. A couple of baby horses to get started and perhaps a chance for Duck N Lethal to try something new has inspired us.
- Breakers: After much harrassment for pictures and updates, we have dedicated a whole new page to the breakers. We are just finishing off a couple of our own before we take in any others.
-Thank you to our owners, their very positive feedback is great and we look forward to seeing them out, competing and having huge fun with their horses soon.We apologise to those waiting to get their horse in with us, unfortunately there is only us and we want to do the best we can by each horse. Remember to book early to secure your place!

FARRIER NEWS

See our new Farrier page

-It has been an interesting year as a farrier, the odd weather patterns have had noticeable effects of horses feet. IN most cases, good quality feed and regular attention will fix most problems. -The airconditioner in the barn has been dusted off and is ready for the warmer weather. And sorry, Ross still hasnt got Foxtel at the barn yet!!!

OTHER NEWS

For us, 2011 has been an extremely trying year, pretty much everything that can go wrong has. From natural disaster to illness to being messed around by real estate agents, this year seems to have been going forever! Upside is, we survived. Our family and friends are well, our business is huge and very soon it will be a whole new year!!
We hope 2012 is a great year for our family, friends and clients and we  look forward to being able to catch up with everyone more often.

A LITTLE ABOUT WHAT WE DO

We are a farrier business, quarterhorse/stockhorse stud, AGWA and RWWA licensed artificial breeding facility, injury management and rehab centre. Every stud season, we also offer a Cert III HorseBreeding traineeship at our stud, in conjunction with C.Y. O’Connor Institute.
We enjoy campdrafting and cutting events and have some success. We perform clerk of course duties at NHRC meetings and we are a RWWA  registered race day farrier. We pride ourselves on helping where-ever and when-ever we can. And, as we are so involved in the horse industry, if we can't help you with a horse related question or problem, we will try to find you someone who can.
